Railyard Artisan Market

The Railyard Artisan Market is an event that actually takes place each Sunday for most of the year. Starting at 10 am at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion, it runs until 4 pm. It has now been taking place for almost 10 years and it is a great way to find out more about local art and crafts. For visitors it is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir or two to take home and you can choose from pottery, jewelry, hand-blown glass, hand made cosmetics and textiles. Santa Fe Opera

Summer is the peak opera season in Santa Fe and this year the company will be performing a number of classic operas that you will not want to miss. Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival

Anyone who has an interest in chamber music should definitely visit the city during the summer. This year the chamber music festival starts on July 19 and runs until August 24. The event dates back to 1972 and one of the aims of the event is to promote the talents of emerging artists. There are more than 80 concerts during the event’s six week run, held at either the St Francis Auditorium or the Lensix Performing Arts Center. The Cathedral Basilica of St Francis of Assisi

A tourist attraction that should be at the top of everyone’s list for a visit when they in Santa Fe for the summer is the St Francis of Assisi Basilica. Located close to the Santa Fe Plaza, this beautiful building dates back to the latter part of the 19thcentury.
