The Friday event named ‘It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere’ is a music and dance event where you can also enjoy a designer cocktail or two. You can pick up a ticket for this for $75 and the doors open at 6pm at Peters Projects. This kicks off the weekend of events and you can spend the evening enjoying the music of the New Mexico School for the Arts Jazz Ensemble.  Throughout the evening is fashion designed by a textile artist, Patricia Michaels who was featured on Project Runway and has won a number of awards.  There will be a few auctions too so you can help with the fundraising for the various ARTsmart programs.

On Saturday you can go along to the ‘Step up to the Plate’ event, with tickets priced at $175.  Held at the city’s Convention Center, the doors for this event open at 6pm.  Here you can enjoy a three course gourmet dinner prepared by a top local chef and enjoy a few fine wines too. Finish off your meal from the dessert buffet. There will be a live auction where you get your hands on one or two pieces of original art work and you can also see a few local artists at work. There is even the chance to become a character in a novel.

On both Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy the Art of Home Tour and the free admission is perfect if you’re on a low budget.  This takes place at a variety of locations throughout the city and the county area.  You get to tour 12 amazing homes that showcase every type of décor.  The tour is being organized by Keller Williams, the area’s top real estate agency.  A variety of artworks will be displayed in the homes and these can be purchased as you tour, with all the funds going to the ARTsmart cause.  To find out where all these homes are you can check out the map and list of homes on the ARTsmart website.  This will be available by February 15th.

If you want to make the most of your weekend at the ARTfeast event it makes sense to be here for as much of it as possible.  With tickets limited for some of the events you need to get tickets early. If you would like to stay at our Santa Fe b&b we recommend booking early as well! To find out more about the ARTfeast, check out the official website here.
