Historic Walks of Santa Fe

Discovery Walking Tour

This is a great way to get a different perspective on Santa Fe. These take in not only the historical sites but give great tips on local cuisine and shopping as well as cultural attractions. This walk takes around 90 minutes and there is no need to reserve a place. They leave each day at 10 am and start from the lobby of the La Fonda Hotel. Tours with a difference

Not everyone wants to go on the standard cultural tours and the good news is that there are plenty of tours with a difference in Santa Fe. On Sundays and Thursdays you can head out on the Ghost Tour to find out where the most haunted places in the city are. Mondays you can take part in the Artists and Acequias tour or on Tuesdays and Fridays you can tag along on the Bread ‘n’ Chocolate tour. The ‘Bars and Brothels’ tour takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays or you could try the Fun, Games ‘n’ History in Cemeteries tour each Wednesday. You could also try a tour that focuses on a specific part of the city’s history. Art Walking Tours

Between April and November each year there are art walking tours that are run by the New Mexico Museum of Art. The tours focus on the downtown area of the city and take place every Monday at 10 am, starting from the gift shop at the museum.
